I have just read this alarming article on the extraction of the fuel rods at Fukushima that will start in the next two months. If it goes wrong it could destroy Japanese civilization.

Many eminent scientists are quoted in this article. They are all terrified of the consequences for the entire northern hemisphere if a fuel rod breaks or catches fire.
